NETWORK CABLING

Backbone of a Network

Network cabling is the backbone of connection between one device to another to communicate, share data with each other such as sharing printers, terminals in a multi-device environment which may basically called as a network.

Twisted Pair

Twisted pair cables are a form of wiring which wires in pairs of color marked as to be forward and return conductors. There are two types which are STP stands for Shielded Twisted Pair and UTP for Unshielded twisted Pair. These cables clasified as UTP; Unshielded Twisted Pair, STP; Shilded Twisted Pair and standardized categories such as CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT 6, etc.

Coaxial

Coaxial cable is a type of a conductor for transmission, used to carry high-frequency electrical signals with low losses. It is mainly used in applications as telephone trunklines, broadband internet networking cables, high-speed computer data busses, cable television signals, and connecting radio transmitters and receivers to their antennas. It differs from other shielded cables because the dimensions of the cable and connectors are controlled to give a precise, constant conductor spacing, which is needed for it to function efficiently as a transmission line.
